Hello again! I get asked most often about my fitness routine, how to keep a balanced healthy lifestyle, and what works for me. I love talking about health and fitness, so these posts are always my favorites. I am by NO means perfect and I don’t claim to know anywhere close to everything about health and fitness; however, I do research a lot and I love to constantly be growing in this industry.
First off, how adorable is this set from Pheel?! I love the different texture of the leggings too. I am a Lululemon girl, but these pants are super soft too! I usually only wear neutral colors to the gym, so when I put this on I feel super confident! I love the matching sports bra too. This tank top is super breathable too! If you are looking for some cute new active wear, check out Pheel!

Fun Fact: My cat always loves to come over and play when I bring out the Yoga Mat! SO funny!
Top 10 Fitness & Health Tips I Live By
1.Drink TONS of water: a gallon a day is a good thing to aim for! It is a lot harder than it sounds. You will start to notice a difference in 2-3 days! De-bloating here we come!
2. Get Active: Take the stairs instead of the elevator, park farther away from the store, go for a walk with friends instead of going to a movie…the options are endless. Biggest thing is to just get moving!
3. Get enough Sleep every night! I know this is hard depending on schedules, but aim for 8 hours a night. It helps with your skin, performance, attitude, and fitness!
4. Make a good playlist: Nothing motivates you more than a good song to jam out to while you’re working out! Create a great workout playlist before you hit the gym that way you don’t have to waste time skipping songs, waiting for ads to play, etc.
5. Do more reps than you think you can: You know when you are working out and you do your 3 sets of 10 reps and then finish. Are you dead…..or could you maybe do ONE more set. ALWAYS push yourself beyond your comfort zone. You won’t notice any changes if you are complacent.
6. Try to keep only healthy stuff in your house: I live at home, so I know how hard this can be. If you’re like me and have a very LOW self-control when it comes to food, get it out of your house! When the craving kicks in, it isn’t even an option. Stack your fridge and pantry with only healthy stuff that you won’t feel guilty about consuming (bye-bye goldfish :/ ) You can never have too many veggies!
7. Mix up your workout location: I go to an extremely nice gym. There is more equipment than you can imagine and the staff members are all outstanding. Even with the perks, I still find myself constantly feeling unmotivated to workout. When I get in these moods, I like to mix up where I workout. Go to a different workout class, workout outside in your backyard, or go to your friend’s gym!
8. Don’t skip Cardio: There are so many people now days telling you that weight lifting is the only way to go. Wrong. That is just because those people don’t like doing cardio. Y’all…cardio is tough! Cardiovascular endurance is super important so we can’t have such a negative image when it comes to cardio. I try to do at least 15-20 minutes of cardio before or after every workout. Dance is a great form of cardio too!
9. Eat Breakfast: I’ve never been one to skip meals. Ever. Especially if/when your day gets super busy, it is crucial to have something in your tummy: aka Brain Food!
10. Set Goals: If you ever feel like you just can’t get motivated or can’t seem to break through yoru plateau, set some new goals for yourself. Start with your long-term goal and then make smaller short term goals to keep you motivated. For example: your long term goal can be a six pack! But your short term goals can be to do cardio 5 days a week and weight lift 5 days a week! Always have a plan.
