Darling Details

How adorable is this dress? This outfit has been on repeat this summer. It is SO hot in Texas, I need all the flowy dresses I can get. This dress is from the new boutique I have been working at for a couple months, Landry Kate. If you have been noticing me post about them a ton more and even some of their clothes show up on my instastories, that is because I work there! I also run the social media, so give them a follow!! It has been so fun getting to be more involved in the fashion world. When I was in college, I was so scared to have a career in fashion, so I never tried it. Well, I tried one class but decided to play is safer. LOL! Look at me now.  God always knows the bigger plan, even when we think we know what’s best for ourselves.

This dress is SO cute for summer. With the adorable ruffle sleeve and buttons going down the front, it is the perfect combo of flirty, comfortable, and NEUTRAL! I paired this dress with my favorite “it” bag for all seasons, my white cross body bag from Brahmin. I am so happy I have this bag in my closet. This bag retails for $245, which for a designer hand bag, that is a great price! Even though it is more on the expensive side (compared to Forever21), this bag is SO worth it. Great quality, so many compliments, and durable. I shove so much stuff in here and the bag is still in mint condition. Makeup

For my makeup look, I decided to play it up for summer. I typically just stick to a good natural eye, but for this look, I played with some gold, shimmer, and oranges. This eyeshadow look really warmed up my face! I started with a solid taupe color all on my lid, then blended a tan into the crease. To build the eyeshadow look, I think added this gorgeous gold shimmer to the crease. Lastly, with my finger, I put a small amount of white eye shadow shimmer in the corner of my eyes to really open them up. I lined my lid with a eye liner pen (gave it a wing, of course) and then lightly lined my bottom lid with an eye liner pencil. I stopped halfway to the corner so the inside of my eyes weren’t too dark.

Lastly for my eyes, and my favorite part, I used the same taupe eye shadow color I used in the first step to lightly blend the bottom eyeliner with. This really makes your eyes POP, gives you the total smokey eye, and draws more attention to your eyes. What do you think? Have you tried this trick before?

Hair

Now for hair! I wanted to keep my hair easy and off my neck for this look. Because my eyes were so “poppy” (lol), I simple let my hair be day 3 (HAHA!) and scooped it up into a low bun. I let some parts of my bangs hang out and some pieces that frame my face, just to give it a more girly and feminine touch. Nothing looks more controlled and stuffy than a tight low bun! Because I had curled my hair earlier, the natural looking waves really created some texture in my hair and gave it more body.   What do y’all think? Would you rock this outfit?
