The Trend
What better way to dress for fall than leggings and oversized sweaters, am I right?! After reading all of your comments on my last post (the giveaway post…aka the fall trends post), it was so clear to me that almost all of us LOVE wearing oversized knits and we have no shame in our sweater and leggings game. YAAAS!
So, if you feel guilty for wanting nothing but oversized knits and leather leggings in your closet and running from tight dresses…know that you are not alone. I could (and honestly…do) live in oversized sweaters.
This Sweater
This sweater is from one of my favorite online clothing stores, Shop the Mint. THIS STORE. Y’all. When I first discovered them when I was a sophomore in college, I just thought this store was too good to be true. The clothes are so trendy, affordable, cute, high quality, and they have pretty fast shipping. What more could a clothing store offer? And, years later, I am still obsessed with this store. I know that when I purchase something from Shop the Mint that it is going to be quality and cute.
This sweater and these leggings are both from Shop the Mint. I call this sweater, “The Grandpa Sweater” because the colors are…well…what I would classify as “Grandpa-wear”…haha! I love the color of this sweater because it is absolutely perfect for fall! The v neckline gives it a more feminine touch, which of course I love.
Trouser Leggings
I paired this sweater with these AMAZING leggings. They honestly look more like a trouser pant because of the seam running down the middle of the thigh on both legs. The waist band, as you can tell in the pictures, is also great because it really holds everything in! I am wearing a size small and it fits great. These leggings are amazing because they make your usual, plain black leggings a little more dressed up! These are great for date night, meeting friends for coffee, or even colder football games.
Favorite Shoes
For shoes, I wore some of my all-time favorite heels! These are from the line Fergalicious (holla at Fergie for not only being a popstar but also rocking at designing shoes). These are so comfortable and y’all….EASY to walk in. That’s a must for me. I wear heels almost daily because I love the extra height they give me and the way they make your legs look. Comfort is keeeeyyyy when running errands. These are more of the “sock” style material so they are so easy to just slip on and wear. They are also super light-weight, so it feels like you aren’t wearing shoes. They also come in this gorgeous taupe color, so if black isn’t your thing (or like me, you have too much black in your closet), you should check out the other color!
This Bag
Lastly, my bag. HOW CUTE is this bag. This bag company has been blowing up on Instagram, so if you feel like you’ve seen this brand before, that is probably why! They have so many cute bags, but I chose this black one because you know how much I love my neutrals. This bag is such a versatile tote bag. I also love the rose gold trimmings and tassel. If I had to pick between all the metal colors, I would choose rose gold all day EVERY day. This bag also has gorgeous quilting detail along the sides, which make it that more elegant looking. Such a great and classic piece to add to your wardrobe.
