Fall is HERE! Fall fashion is my favorite thing to shop for. I love being able to wear layers (it’s always so hot in Texas so…you need layers). Bringing out some deeper hues and trendy styles just really gets me going!
There are some trends for seasons that are ALWAYS in. For example, we know that fall booties are going to be a trend this season. Why? Because they have been for the past decade or more! They aren’t going anywhere. This post is designed to forecast the biggest trends for fall 2019 that you for sure want to put on your radar!
Fall 2019 Top Trends
1.Knee High Boots
Unlike over the knee boots or booties, knee high boots hit you at just underneath the knee. These are HUGE right now on the runway and are perfect if you just don’t want to hop on the over the knee boot trend. To me, they mimic the look of Riding boots, which I love!

2. Athleisure
Okay…..this trend isn’t going anywhere for fall and if anything, it is coming out in full force! Bike Shorts were all the rage for summer and will definitely still be around for early fall. If you have been skeptical about the bike short trend, come on and hop on with me! It’s huge and there are so many different ways to style this trend.
Additionally, leather leggings and oversized sweatshirts are big this season. Platform sneakers and basically anything that is comfy is a MUST HAVE. Personally, I couldn’t be more excited this trend is staying. As a dance teacher, I live in this stuff!

3. Mini Handbags
Have you been noticing the handbag selection get smaller and smaller? I’m not talking about the options…..but look at the size! At some of the TOP TIER designer shows, the biggest trend for handbags has been super tiny. They are calling them micro handbags! I don’t even know if you could easily fit your iPhone X in there! They are TINY.
A perfect way to incorporate this trend without sacrificing your lipgloss and iPhone is to get some mini handbags. Look for bold colors, neutrals, or even minimalistic animal print/pattern. These really add to an outfit and help create your perfect fall look!

4. Tie Dye and NEON
Retro fashion is always coming back, and the tie dye trend is HERE. My sister is going to be so happy. She has been rocking the tie dye t shirt for years now…hahah! Tons of top designers debuted some adorable tie dye pieces and we are seeing it in the fashion circuit with fast fashion, too.
If buying tie dye seems a little out there for you, try incorporating the trend with an oversized, pastel tie dye sweatshirt or t shirt. This style looks super cute with bike shorts (see trend #2) or even with a midi skirt or leather leggings!

5. Animal Print
This is the trend that just keeps on giving. If you aren’t a fan of animal print…I hate to burst your bubble…but it’s not going ANYWHERE. Leopard print is going to be huge again this fall, as well as tiger stripes and snakeskin! So, bring out your leopard shoes, skirts, and cardigans!

6. Satin Fabrics
Ooooh, this might be my favorite trend for fall! I love the satin/silk material! You can find this trend with silk/satin slip dresses, midi skirts, and even blouses now! That silky finish really makes you look expensive without trying hard. I love wearing my hair in a nice polished ensemble to really seal this look!

7. Layered Necklaces
Fall is all about the layers! Layered necklaces really started gaining popularity in the summer and they are full blown HUGE for fall 2019. Dainty necklaces that you can layer on top of each other is a must do. There is something so gorgeous about dainty jewelry!! That minimalistic style is still in FULL effect this fall, and layering necklaces is a perfect way to incorporate that trend.

8. Cropped Jackets
YESSSS these are huge this fall. I’ve been seeing them virtually everywhere. I normally opt for a jacket that covers my booty, but this season it is all about the CROP. This really helps create a nice silhouette too, especially if you have a longer torso! Cropped jackets make your legs look sooooo long, too!
I am loving the faux fur jackets that are cropped as well as denim jackets. SO stinkin’ cute and they make for the best layering piece.

9. Platform Shoes
I have been obsessing over my platform white sneakers all summer, and thank goodness, they’re going to be a big trend for fall! I think a lot of us have just been craving that 90s-early 2000s fashion, so, our wish has been granted! Thick platform sandals and sneakers are popping up everywhere. If you don’t feel comfortable walking in heels but want some added height, platform is the way to go!

10. Oversized Blazers
Ah, this is a trend I am just totally in love with. The super oversized/long blazer is going to be HUGE this season. These look amazing going to work and then fun after! I’ve especially been loving the oversized blazer paired with bike shorts! It’s like the epitome of comfort!

FALL MAKEUP/HAIR TREND
Okay….one more little freebie here! The big trend for hair and makeup this fall is minimalistic. This summer we really saw this trend take over, and it is just going to keep growing. The “undone-model” look is how I like to describe it. Gorgeous lashes, bronzed skin, natural highlight, and a nice brow is really all you need. Less is more now days and I love it!
As far as hair goes, the tossed, simply undone look is HUGE. Add some texture to your hair by doing some loose waves. Spray it with some texture spray and then shake it out!
