Happy Monday my loves! How has everyone been? I feel like this month has just flown by and I don’t even know where to begin!
For starters, how cute is this Teddy Coat? I’ve had my eye on the Free People one (that retails at $130) for ages now, and when I found this one that is only $50, I knew I had to jump on that!! I love this one and it comes in 2 different colors. THIS IS NOT SPONSORED. I bought this with my own money hahahah!!
That brings me to the topic of today’s post: Sponsored posts. I have a lot of people privately message me asking if I truly like a product/clothing item/makeup line/etc., and if they should invest in it too. I want everyone to know that if I post something on my blog, Facebook, or instagram, it is because I genuinely back the product and use it in my daily life. I just recently came off a wonderful campaign with Neutrogena. While I was gifted those makeup items, I LOVE the products. Ask anyone in my life; I use them on a daily basis. The perfecting primer/foundation I use on a daily basis now and the lipsticks are my current go to. I use the lip balm more than I use aquifer (which is a big deal for me lol!).
Part of the integrity with my blog is that I will never try to sell you guys on something that I don’t personally love. I feel like a lot of bloggers will say that just to make a good pay check, but I don’t make enough money from this to be motivated by money. I’m serious when I say that! I only promote brands that I genuinely like. Sometimes I receive products from brands that don’t align well with my brand, so I simply don’t post that. When a brand sends you stuff that you don’t pick out, they know the risk going into it. Additionally, I do my research on brands before I agree/disagree to a collaboration. 9/10 times I say no to brands. I’m not motivated by the number of collaborations I receive or the pay checks I could earn; I’m motivated by inspiring my readers and giving y’all a place where you can get fashion, style, and fitness tips that I live by.
I hope this kind of clears the air about the behind the scenes of blogging. I NEVER want my blog to be unoriginal and exactly like every other blogger. I try to keep it as real as I can around here. I love every single one of my readers.
If you love my blog, please share it with your friends! The new instagram algorithm is messing with my brand and my posts aren’t being seen! However, my sister brought to light a very impactful point that I really need to focus on; The people that DO see my posts are the ones that are more engaged with my blog and brand. Instead of having a million other bloggers liking/commenting on my pictures to hopefully be seen (haha!), I would rather have REAL readers liking and commenting on my pictures. So thank you to those of you that do that! I truly love your support and absolutely would not be here without YOU.
