Annual Halloween Party & Anniversary Weekend

This time of year we have so many things going on, which makes it so fun yet can be so stressful! We hosted our 3rd annual Halloween Party on Friday night and then we celebrated our five year wedding anniversary Saturday and into Sunday! We always have so much fun hosting a Halloween party because we love being festive and it’s low key kind of sentimental for us. We had our first Halloween party as a house-warming party when we moved into our first (and current) home!

Our costumes:

This year, I’ve had an obsession with Wicked (specifically Glinda) so when the movie trailer first hit, I just KNEW I had to dress up like that for Halloween this year. Andrew was the Tin Man in his very impressive DIY costume and Margot was Elphaba (aka the Wicked Witch)…. although she was too scared to make an appearance.

We both decided that a DIY costume would be way more fun this year than a store-bought one. My dress is from Selfie Leslie and I am in love with it. Comes in several other colors and I just love the sleeves and entire silhouette. Will definitely be wearing this again! For the crown, I got some plastic vinyl from amazon, wooden sticks to maintain structure, combined two-transparent headbands together to create the base, and added some fun rhinestones for even extra sparkle. We went FULL OUT.

Anniversary Weekend:

We stayed at The Omni Downtown Dallas, which is our favorite spot. We have stayed there several times and it just hits so close to home. We went out to dinner at Town & Heart, which is a British inspired restaurant that is SO good.

Enjoy this fun & random vlog of the weekend!
