Friday Five: tops, lifestyle, and more

Starting a new series for a fun Friday morning! In the Friday Five series, I will be sharing random five things that I have loving. Anything from home, fashion, and even dance! I would love to hear your favorites, too. I know comments are so old school, but I would love to connect in the comments below!

1. Aritzia Tops

Okay hear me out, I know Aritzia is kind of expensive and I know everyone talks about it.. dare I say it might be worth the hype? When fashion lovers talk about “quality”, it doesn’t only refer to the material and composition of the fabric. Quality also means how the piece is constructed like seams, seam count, fit model, and artistry. I have been absolutely loving Aritzia this spring. My closet has been in a desperate need of new tops to go with jeans and I finally found some GREAT pieces. They are truly worth the investment! Linking some of my new favorites below. 2. 60s/70s Style

Something that has been really inspiring my style lately are the 1960s-1970s style icons. I’ve always been naturally more drawn to this style, but lately I just feel SO in line with it. I love the feminine silhouettes, tweed, eyeliner, and overall retro style of it all. The Palm Royale vibes, if you will. Some stores that always have good 60s/70s pieces for Spring are Anthropologie and Dillards.

3. My Feather Denim

Okay… I’ve been wearing these a ton lately but I can’t help it! I’ve had my eyes on getting jeans with a feather trim and I finally found a brand that is more affordable but insanely high quality. Now….they’re by no means cheap, but the quality for the price is outstanding. You can remove the feathers for easy wash! They are super flattering on the booty and very soft, comfortable, and easy to wear. These are honestly my MOST comfortable jeans I own. The brand was kind enough to give me a discount code! Use code HANS15 for 15% off your order.

4. French Press Coffee

Our Nespresso machine finally kicked the bucket. We’ve had it for over 6 years…. which I read some reviews and that is a typical life span of one of those machines. We love it…. I’ll be getting a new one soon, but having an unusable Nespresso machine has forced me to get back into our French Press coffee maker. If you’ve never tried French Press, it is super simple. You basically heat up water, soak the coffee grounds for about 5 minutes, then “press” the grounds through a strainer and there you go! Amazing coffee! It is super simple. We have been loving the Starbucks Pike blend.

5. Ab Workouts

This happens every spring, but I always get this itch to do more ab workouts. I love doing abs. Maybe it’s the dance coach in me, but I could do planks allllll the time. I’ve been mixing up my ab workouts lately and have been having a lot of fun with them. It is really hard for me to get “sore” in my core. Not because I am the most fit person ever, but I do planks several times a day with my clients, so my body needs to be challenged a bit more than usual. Some of my favorite ab workouts are on YouTube (my channel), but nothing quite beats a long plank!
