My Best Friend’s Wedding

I love weddings!! I’m a sucker for romance, so anytime you get to celebrate a couple I am TOTALLY game for. This wedding was particularly special to me because one of my best friends got married! I’ve been able to watch their relationship from the very beginning, so it was amazing to see her get married to the man of her dreams! June 16th was a very special day! Here are just a few snapshots I took on my own camera of Michelle’s special day. If you remember from a few months ago, I posted about her Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party in San Antonio. Now that was a fun weekend!

As a Bridesmaid, I was able to stand next to my bestie on her wedding day and help with the planning process. Weddings sure are a lot of work these days!

I knew I wanted to do something special for Michelle on her wedding day, so I reached out to her close family and friends and asked them all to send in a picture of themselves with Michelle and write her a letter for her marriage. I then compiled them all together and created a scrapbook for her!  Scrapbooks are such an amazing keepsake and adding the heartfelt letters in there really steps it up a notch.

We also had the opportunity to get our hair and makeup done for the wedding! I’ve actually never had my hair and makeup done professionally for an event before, so this was very new and exciting for me! I was a little apprehensive, but it turned out great and was honestly such a blast. I was chosen to go first (haha!!), so I had no idea what expect. It turned out great though! I would totally get my hair and makeup done again 😉

The wedding venue was BEAUTIFUL! It was set on a Plantation venue, which hello is gorgeous in the summertime. Even though it was a little hot (Texas Summers are brutal), the entire event turned out to be amazing. She had the ceremony outside and then the reception was inside the plantation. With the gigantic staircase in the center of the room, it felt like I was at a ball! We danced the night away and they even had their own firework display! Talk about magical!

As you can tell, it was a BEAUTIFUL day! Congratulations to Michelle & Drew! Love y’all <3
