October is PINK Month
Since around 1985, October has been National PINK Month!
I remember being on Drill Team and wearing Hot Pink Hat Bands to show our support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In college, for football games with the pom squad we always had hot pink poms and pink ribbons on our uniforms. For the past couple decades, nationally we have been showing our support for survivors, those who are currently battling breast cancer, and remembering those who did fight. Almost everyone I know either knows someone personally who has been affected by breast cancer or knows of someone who has been.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is something that is close to my heart! I have known so many women affected by this cancer, including my mom. Seeing my mom go through something so hard definitely makes you appreciate life more, love your family and friends deeper, and want to show your support for others going through such a hard thing.
If you haven’t heard of the clothing company, Z Supply, then you are REALLY missing out. This company specializes in luxuriously-soft loungewear from t-shirts, dresses, pants, jumpsuits, you name it! I was so happy to see that for the whole month of October, they would be doing a Breast Cancer Awareness campaign with the prettiest pink t-shirt! From now until the end of October, a portion of the sales made from one of these pink t-shirts will go to the organization, Breast Cancer Angels. This company provides funds for women battling breast cancer by helping them with payments for utilities, transportation, funds, food, and more. SUCH a great organization, so definitely read up on it if you haven’t already.
