Thanksgiving Day Outfit Ideas

Happy November! I had an amazing birthday on Friday so thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. I am so thankful for this platform and for amazing readers who care about my content!! YOU ROCK. So thank you 1000x.

If you haven’t seen already, I actually did something WAY out of my comfort zone and filmed a vlog documenting my 25th birthday. I take you with me throughout the entire day to show my day, what I did for my birthday, and the items that I got! You can watch the video here (be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out on other videos in the future!).

After my birthday, the Holiday season officially kicks off! Starbucks rolled out their holiday drinks on my birthday too, so the holiday frenzy is in full force. I absolutely love this time of year!!

To kick off the holiday season, I thought it would be highly appropriate to make a post for Thanksgiving outfit ideas. So many of us get so excited about the Christmas season that we forgot about Thanksgiving! Then, before you know it, Thanksgiving parties roll in and you are going through your closet thinking, “I have nothing cute to wear!” and you instantly feel stuck.

Thanksgiving is all about comfy clothes were you can enjoy all the food without feeling like your pants are about to burst open (anyone else ever feel this way?). Most of us are also socializing with family and friends, so we also want to look our best and look put together. I’ve rounded up my favorite pieces for Thanksgiving and hopefully can give you some great outfit inspiration. If you want to purchase something (I know I am!!), this post should give you enough time to get it in the mail and style it too!

Outfit #1: Cozy & Leather Look

I love the sweater & leather outfit combo. Nothing looks better for fall than this ensemble. You can still be feminine with a cute leather skirt, but also super comfortable and hide that food baby with an oversized sweater. If it is a bit chilly where you live, opt for some fun tights to keep your legs warm, over the knee boots, or boot socks!

Outfit #2: Sweater Dress & BootsΒ

I love sweater dresses! These are super comfortable and SO easy to wear. I love wearing these with ankle booties, but if it is a little chilly, opt for over the knee boots or some fun tights. You can easily dress this look up or down as well.

If your sweater dress is a little short, throw on a pair of leather leggings to finish up the look!

Outfit #3: Fall Dress

Thanksgiving is the perfect excuse to bust out your gorgeous fall length dresses. Midi dresses are SO cute, but I often feel like they are too fancy-looking for everyday wear. I love wearing midi dresses for special events like Thanksgiving. Plus, they are very practical! No need to wear tights with these because of the perfect length. Depending the dress, Β you can wear ankle booties or heels!

Outfit #4: Pop of Color

Thanksgiving is a holiday filled with all things Autumn; orange, red, brown, black, navy, and cream. To add some flare to your outfit, you can dress in a monochromatic look (all black, all white, all cream, etc) and add a fun coat or heel to go with the outfit that is outside of that monochromatic look. For example, if you are wearing white jeans, white boots, and carrying a white bag, add a fun pink sweater! Or, you can wear black leggings, a black sweater, black boots, and throw on a bright blue coat on top!

What outfit idea is your favorite? Personally, I’ll probably go for a cozy sweater and leather…or a midi dress!!Β

Happy November!!
