Cheers to the New Year 2024

Welcome to 2024! Yes, my blog did get a little rebrand/upgrade. I love it so much. Hopefully it is easier to navigate, too! I love the neutral pretty-ness feel and the easy to read font. It is crazy how the little things can always make such a big impact. Now… need to rebrand my dance website!

I am a sucker for new year goals, wishes, dreams, and vision boards! 2023 was such a good year for me that making my goal list for 2024 is a little bit tough! 2023 was filled with SO many highs and lows, growth, learning, and challenging myself in new ways. I gained friends, life experiences, and acceptance for who I am.

I started the year off completely different than how I ended it. The beginning of 2023 I had only a couple friends that I could actually list, I worked 6 days a week, I didn’t belong to a church and my faith was just kinda blah, I cried a TON about work, and I literally never felt good enough. Fast forward to December… I have grown in every single area. I trust God, I trust my gut, and I know that God has placed talents and passions and quirks about myself FOR A REASON. Say it louder! God has opened up so many new doors and opportunities for me this year that I never even thought possible. Not only has He shown me more opportunities, He has also shown me that there is beauty in the small things like cooking dinner, cleaning your house, cuddling up in bed on a Saturday and not checking off your to-do list.

December of 2023 was a rough one for our family. We had a lot of family things come up, I got super sick, and my cat started having seizures… and a swollen eye. This all happened during Christmas/NYE season, so the holidays were very stressful this year. I am definitely off to a “late start” with my goal setting this year, but that is 100% okay.

If you are in the same boat as me, it’s never too late to start! In fact, most people have already “failed” their 2024 resolutions by now ;). I like to separate my goals into 4 categories; Personal, Health, Career, Blog. It makes sense for me!

On the left is my “mood board” for 2024. All of these things inspire me going into the new year. My word is “Confident” and all of these images, in their own way, are what I think of when I hear the word confident. If you don’t already have your word for the year, I highly suggest thinking of one. It is so great getting to use a word to fuel you and help guide you all year!

2024 Goals

  • My word this year is confidence. Growth was my 2023 “word”, and I think it is safe to say growth was made! But this year, I really want to focus on my confidence with myself, my decisions, even my freaking appearance! I turned 30 in 2023… it’s time to stand tall!
  • Health: I love fitness and being healthy. 2023 was a survival year. I’m ready to get back into a routine, feel healthy, and feel like myself again.
  • Less caffeine is on my list. I’m not putting any rules around it, but I definitely want to cut back on the caffeine intake!
  • More Game Nights: I love the idea of just casually having friends over during the week to laugh, play, and be friends! Some of my favorite games to play are Clue and Say Anything!
  • Goals: create more content, create more videos, hang out with friends more often, maybe travel to a new spot!

  • Samantha’s Bachelorette
  • Abby’s Bachelorette
  • 5 year wedding anniversary
