Disney World Twin Trip 2024

This week, my twin sister and I took our first ever Twin Trip (just the two of us)! We, of course, went to Disney World to celebrate her getting married in August. We left on Monday and came back on Thursday, so a quick (but fun) trip. We vlogged this trip, so be sure to scroll down and watch our first vlog!!

Where We Stayed: We threw it back to our first Disney World post-grad trip and stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. We upgraded to the Royal Room, which is themed for all of the Disney Princesses, which obviously is a must! The room is just so cute and we love all of the Disney details. Every princess is featured in the room and even some Disney Prince details! The resort has 2 restaurants, a bar, and a shop. The only way of transportation to and from the parks for this resort is the bus, which honestly was so easy and convenient. The busses are constantly coming and going, so we never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a bus!

Get Park Hopper Tickets: Especially when you aren’t going to be in Disney World for a long time, getting the Park Hopper tickets is just so much better. It allows you to be super flexible and go wherever you feel like going that day/hour. Recently, Disney World revamped the Park Hopper ticket to now allowing you to hop any time of the day. You used to have to wait until 2pm to hop, so this is SUCH an amazing new feature. You could easily hit up all 4 parks in one day if you wish.

Go to the park when it opens: The crowds are so much calmer at 8 am! If you want to take pictures, the earlier the better too! The lines for rides are better and overall it is just way more happy. The crowds start getting annoying around noon/1pm, so if you like to take breaks, that is a good time. It also gets super hot around that lunch hour, so we always like taking a break and going to the resort pool for an hour or two before heading back to the park for the PM round.

Research before you go: We always like to have a few “must-go” things so we don’t get overwhelmed or get FOMO after our trip. That can be restaurants you want to try, rides to get on, merch to buy, anything!

Monorail: One of our favorite things to do is monorail resort hop! The 3 most lavish resorts are all in the Magic Kingdom Monorail system. The Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort, and The Grand Floridian Resort are all super nice and fun to explore, without having to stay there! We went to Magic Kingdom in the morning and then when we got hungry, we got Brunch at The Grand Floridian Cafe by using the Monorail. Less crowds, better food, and in the AC! Then you can get back on the Monorail into the park! You can also Monorail to Epcot from Magic Kingdom.

Favorite Ride: Frozen in Norway Pavilion at Epcot

Favorite Restaurant: Enchanted Rose @ Grand Floridian and Trader Sam’s @ Polynesian Resort

Favorite Park: Epcot & the World Showcase

Favorite Snack: Beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter
