Transition to Spring||Outfit Ideas & What to Buy

Spring fashion is slowly, but surely, approaching! I know for many of us, it still feels like Winter where we are. There are so many ways to style Spring fashion in winter, so this post is dedicated to giving you all the outfit inspiration, what trends to be looking for, and how to wear them NOW.

Here are some easy tips and outfit ideas to get your ready for Spring..even when it is still a bit cold and windy outside!

1.Light Wash Denim Outfit

Winter is always when we bring out our black jeans and dark wash skinnies. To bring more Spring into your closet, try incorporating some light wash jeans. This way, you are still warm, but your outfit is more bright.

Outfit Idea #1: Pair your light wash jeans with a puff sleeve blouse. These are SO big for spring. Add a pair of your favorite low-heel sling backs to complete the look.

Outfit Idea #2: Light wash mom jeans, oversized ivory sweater, and your favorite tan booties.

2. Pastel Tops

Pastel is obviously such a great thing to add to your wardrobe for spring! Because we are still transitioning, I would look for some fun tops to pair with your favorite jeans or midi skirts. This is such an easy way to “spring”-up your wardrobe, without too much effort.

Outfit Idea: Lavender and Pistachio Green are THE colors for Spring this season, so if you can find something that color, you are just winning. Pair a top that color with some skinny jeans and a pair of simple heels. You don’t need much because this color speaks on it’s own.

3. Sweater Tanks

Sweater Weather isn’t over just yet! A big trend for spring/summer are the ever popular, sweater crop tanks. These are so cute with a pair of shorts and Moto jacket! For pre-spring, you can still wear your favorite sweater tank by simply adding layers!

Outfit Idea #1: Wear your favorite simple button down (my favorite is white!) and pop a cropped sweater tank on over it. Super chic and such a fun way to spice up an outfit. This works for office wear as well as going out. Pair it with a pair of leather leggings or dark wash skinnies to really amp up your look.

Outfit Idea #2: Grab a pair of high waisted pants, your cropped sweater tank, and pop on your favorite blazer or cool leather jacket for the most, ultra-chic outfit. Wearing your hair in a pony tail is the perfect touch!

4. Hair Accessories

Such a simple way to add some spring into your look! I love wearing pretty headbands or hair bows to add some feminine touches into your look. I know this seems super small, but it really does make all the difference!

Outfit Idea: Make it feminine but professional by wearing high waisted jeans, a blazer, neutral body suit, and an adorable hair bow with your hair in a pony tail! You can also wear a headband for an effortless look.

5. One Shoulder Sweaters

Lastly, this trend is amazing for spring. When it starts getting a little bit warmer outside…but still cold enough for a sweater, wearing a one-shoulder sweater is so much fun!

Outfit idea: Pop on your favorite one-shoulder sweater and pair it with a pair of mom jeans or leather pants. Spice it up with some low heels or combat boots.

6. Dark Florals & Tights

So….we all know that I love wearing dresses the most. With all the cold weather, I’ve been like…what do I wear?? In order to feel like spring, try pairing a dress with tights. Dark florals work so well!

Outfit idea: Dark floral dress (puff sleeves are such a win) and black tights to keep warm. Paired with a nice pair of black heels or combat boots really amp up this look. To stay warm, pop on a leather jacket or nice coat.

And that’s a wrap! I hope this post has inspired you to get into your closet and get excited for spring! What are you most excited to try out?
