2024 Denim Guide

Finding the perfect pair of denim can be the struggle… and trust me, I go through it all the time. I’ve tried cheap jeans from target all the way to expensive designer denim while on my road to finding the best fitting pair. If this sounds like you, or if you are just wanting to add some new jean favorites to your wardrobe, this post is for you!

Jeans I’m wearing above | Size 26 (sized up for slightly oversized and comfy fit)

Abercrombie:

Everyone is talking about Abercrombie denim, and for a good reason. I would describe Abercrombie as the Affordable but Quality Jean Brand. I tried this brand back in 2018/2019, and I fully believe that they have updated their denim to make them way more comfy and fit a woman’s body so much better. I now have 2 pairs and will be purchasing so many more in the future.

Sizing: I am a 25.5 inch waist, so I am truly in between sizes. With Abercrombie, my jeans are all a size 26 for a looser fit. My next few pairs I purchase, I think I will buy the smaller size. I tried them on in store and they fit a little bit better. So if you are in-between sizes, I would suggest sizing down. But very true to size. Measure your natural waist (belly-button) and that size will reflect the size to purchase in your Abercrombie jeans.

Favorite Styles: The 90s Straight Leg & the 90s Relaxed are my absolute favorite styles from Abercrombie. Super easy to wear, comfy, and flattering. The 90s straight are what I am wearing in all of these photos! Easily pair with boots, heels, or sneakers. The 90s Relaxed are the next ones I want to buy. Similar waist/thigh style, but they have a wider opening making them super easy and trendy.

Agolde:

Agolde Denim is very similar to Abercrombie to me, just a little bit higher quality and some more unique designs like the hem or waist detailing. I would describe Agolde as the Trendy & High Quality Jean Brand. I have a pair of jeans from this brand as well as a pair of shorts. Both have lasted me years, countless washes, and still look brand new.

Sizing: Everyone says you need to size down in this brand, but I personally do not. Again, I am a true in-between size gal, and I go with a size 26 when I want them more oversized and a 25 when I want them more form-fitting.

Favorite Styles: I have the mom jeans from Agolde that are super easy to wear with tennis shoes or boots. Because of my more petite frame, I prefer them with heels over sneakers, but if you are taller, rock the tennis shoes!! I also own the Parker Shorts which are a closet staple for me in the summer. They are the MOST flattering shorts I’ve ever put on. Get them. Next pair on my “want-list” are these amazing, super wide Dame Jeans.

Paige:

Paige Denim was my first designer denim brand I tried from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale back in 2019. I would describe Paige as the Classic Jean Brand. I really like this denim brand. I have a couple pairs and they have lasted so well. Paige has so many different styles of jeans and I love the way they fit and wear throughout the day. My husband likes this brand, too!

Sizing: I wear a size 25 here and pretty consistently. If I wanted something a little looser, I would size to a 26. So again, pretty true to size. I am always in between sizes.

Favorite Styles: I’ve been rocking Paige for years! My OG pair are these Hoxton Jeans, which are the classic skinny style. I’ve had them in my closet for over 6 years and they are still great. A closet staple for sure. I have been really loving the Cindy Raw Hem Jeans… great style and love a raw hem jean!
