Fall Trend Styling: Tall Boots

Tall boots are my favorite! I crave them year round… but obviously the summer would be miserable. My new tall boots this season are absolute heaven. They are a burgundy pair that is perfectly wide, oversized, and comfortable… and burgundy! Andrew laughs at me every time I talk about burgundy. The color of the fall season. It pairs SO well with pink and brown and ugh I just am in love with it. Today we are chatting about styling my favorite burgundy boots. If you don’t own tall boots, this is your sign!

Skirts & Dresses

This can be so obvious, but I do think we all need the reminder. Again, in the Texas heat, sometimes wearing jeans and sweaters is just too hot. I love a mini skirt paired with a tall boot to bring in the fashion of the season without sweating too much.

Skinny Jeans

Anyone that says skinny jeans are 100% out of style… I just do not trust. Now, don’t get me wrong, an ill-fitting skinny jeans is and always will be OUT. Please do not wear your little bit too snug, hugs you in all the wrong places, creates a slight muffin top feeling skinny jeans. Opt for a well fitting, slightly stretchy, booty sculpting jean and you will love them again. These look amazing with a tall boot. Sometimes, when your jeans are too baggy, it can create too much bulk on the leg which then is not very flattering for your line. So because of this, I am staying on Team Skinny Jean (just maybe not paired with sneakers).

Long Shorts

Okay this one is a little new for me and I have yet to wear it out in public… but I do try it on and constantly want to brave the world with them! I just might need the push. I think it is super fashionable when a woman wears the baggier, long denim shorts with a cool fall boot. Great for when the weather is slightly cool but you still want to wear shorts. Looks great with a flowy top or a form fitting top. I think that mainly depends on your comfort level.

LONG Skirts & Dresses

This style to me is so Western Glam and I love it. My Mother-in-Law always wears this outfit and I just think it is so chic. Grabbing a tall boot and pairing it with your longer (midi-maxi) skirts and dresses is not only chic and classy, but it is wonderful for when the weather gets more chilly. When it starts to get super cold, you can even wear a pair of tights underneath for some added warmth without sacrificing your style. I love this look, it is SO chic.
