How, how, how is it already the end of April?! Graduation season is upon us and it just seems so surreal!!

Whether you are graduating from High School or College, this is the perfect time to start looking for a nice graduation outfit. Even though you wear that super fashion-forward cap and gown, you want to look your best for pictures and dinner after! These dresses are also GREAT for any other summer parties or events that might pop up, so I always think it is good idea to have a few in your closet for those ‘just in case‘ moments.

What to Wear?!

When it comes to Graduation, it is super important to look for dresses that are classy, timeless, and comfortable. I know it can be really easy to want to just grab something either cheap or super trendy, but you gotta think more long term!

1. Classy is B E S T

I know it can be really easy to get caught up in the cool trends, and trust me, as a blogger I ALWAYS love to know what is going on, but for Graduation, try to steer more towards the classy route.

If you want to incorporate a more trendy piece, try to find something that has both. For example, some lace dresses are super classy, but they have a small amount of mesh in the middle to mock a crop top. This is the perfect blend of classy and trendy.

When it comes to length, try to find something that is flattering, but not embarrassing. You DO NOT want to look back in a few years and think, “why did my mom let me leave the house in that!?“.

2. Timeless

This kind of goes without saying, but find something timeless! I look back at my high school graduation and I am NOT EMBARRASSED at all by what I’m wearing. It was a good length, flattering color, and truly timeless. Would I wear that dress to something today? Probably not. However, I don’t look back at pictures at just cringe…haha.

3. Comfortable

I know this is probably not a popular opinion, but you need to find something that is not only flattering, but comfy! There is nothing worse than wearing something that you feel so uncomfortable in for hours. Depending on your school size, you will be sitting down for 2-4 hours…. and often times more! You do NOT want to feel like your dress is too short, it is getting wrinkled, or you have to keep adjusting the top. Wear something you not only love yourself in, but you can breathe in, too!
