Las Vegas Travel Guide

Andrew and I went on such a fun trip back in September 2022 to the one and only, Las Vegas, NV! I had only been there one time for a dance convention back in college and Andrew had never been. We were so excited to get to experience something so crazy and iconic together.

When we were planning our trip, we had absolutely no idea where to start. There are so many places to stay, eat, and of course, things to do. We went over Labor Day Weekend, so we really only had a couple days to fit everything in. If you are planning a trip to Las Vegas, or maybe just curious, I hope this post helps!

Where to Stay

Oh, the places you could stay! I feel like we just barely scratched the surface with exploring all of the different hotels. We ended up staying at the MGM Grand Hotel. This hotel is iconic… I mean, you walk in and you’ll see a large gold lion in the entrance! Not only is the hotel fun, but it is in such a great location to walk the entire strip easily. Y’all, we walked to dinner and I wore stilettos. IT’S POSSIBLE!

If you are into pools, this hotel has a couple different pools that are super large, so it makes it easy to get a lounge chair. We went during a very popular weekend, Labor Day Weekend, so the fact that we easily found chairs without having to get there right when the pool opened, is a good sign!

When it comes to the hotel room itself, the rooms were nice… but also pretty average. I feel like most hotels on the strip are older, so some of the amenities may not be world-class status. It was clean, plenty of towels, and a comfy bed! The noise level was also pretty quite. I feel like the walls were pretty thick because there were lots of loud noises outside our door, but it never bothered us!

What We Did

We aren’t big on the gambling scene, but we still had so much fun! You definitely don’t have to be big into the party-scene to have a great time in Las Vegas! We spent most of our time during the day at the pool, getting lunch, shopping & walking around the strip. We would grab dinner at a nice restaurant and then maybe go to one bar or just keep walking around until it started getting dark. Once it was night time, we would try the whole gambling thing. The best way, in our opinion, to keep it fun and NOT stressful, is to go in with a set amount that you will put down. Nothing more. Once it’s done, it’s done!

When it comes to food in Las Vegas, the possibilities are endless. There are so many outstanding restaurants that you really can’t go wrong with a choice. A lot of the restaurants on The Strip are some of the top restaurants in NYC, LA, or in the world. They open up restaurant locations on the Strip where you can experience other parts of the world. Super cool and super good!

Favorite Restaurants

Bardot Restaurant: This place had the best food we had during our entire trip. Not only was the food amazing, but the atmosphere was beautiful. The bar inside is super fun, too!

Eiffel Tower Restaurant: The best experience, service, and the food was outstanding. We even saw a proposal happen! The views are crazy nice and you just feel like you are in Paris. I would go back to Vegas just to eat there again!

SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker

Probably the # 1 reason I wanted to visit Las Vegas: visiting the SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker store! The entire experience gave me my Cinderella moment. The customer service was incredible and the simple joy of getting to try on my favorite shoes…. I was speechless! The quality is amazing and the attention to detail is beyond words. This is my new favorite designer shoe brand…hands down. Not only are the shoes gorgeous, but they are also comfortable. If you have a more narrow foot, I know you will love these.

SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker shoes are made in the same factory as Manolo Blahnik. WILD. These shoes are much less expensive than Manolos, but the craftsmanship is right on par. I love the brand. Read up on the store behind the brand here.

And that was our Vegas Trip! I hope this post was helpful in your own planning process. I want to go back already!
