Our Story

It’s no secret, we all know that I am a Disney Movie Connoisseur. I love all things Disney (have you seen my multiple Disney Travel Blogs?!). Naturally, when it comes to love, it can be very easy to get caught up in the fairytale-princess-prince-romantic scenario.

While there are a ton of haters for Disney, Disney Princesses, and Disney Fairytales….I do believe that Andrew is my Prince. HA OMG could that be any more corny?? But, I’m fine with it.

Most Disney Fairytales end with “Happily Ever After”. For some perplexing reason, people really have a hard time accepting that “ending”. Allegedly, this ending might cause some to have high expectations when it comes to love…

Always searching for perfect romance.

Always searching for a prince to save them.

Always searching for the feeling of being swept off their feet in ignorant bliss and never fighting because you are living happily ever after.

I don’t think that is the point of Disney Fairytales. “Happily Ever After” does not mean “and they never disagreed on anything ever again”. It means that these two people chose to be with each other forever. They chose to love each other 10000% for the rest of their lives. While there will be ups and downs, being with that person is better than not. You are choosing to sacrifice for that person, to love that person through the trails, and to live your life with that person.

Throughout our four years of dating, Andrew and I have had our ups and downs. Every relationship has them. However, through those struggles, I’ve grown to love him more and more. He is the perfect guy for me. He loves Jesus, he encourages me, supports me, works hard, laughs a lot, and 10000% gets me. That sounds like perfect romance to me.

In life, nothing is promised. I am constantly reminded of how grateful I am that God chose Andrew for me. I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world. Being able to live life with him makes our ending happily ever after.

If Disney movies teach you anything, it is that you need to fight for what is right, fight for your loved ones, and stand up for good. I want Andrew to be right there with me, trials and all.

So…. if you didn’t already see this coming….
