Bridesmaids || Proposal Box + My Crew

This is a post I have been dying to share with you! A big part about getting ready for the Wedding Day is asking your friends to be part of your team! One of my love languages is definitely gift giving and surprises, so this is something I KNEW I wanted to do for my bridesmaids. Being a Bridesmaid, you already have so many responsibilities (financial and time), that I wanted to do something special for them to show them my love (more to come, of course!). It’s really just an excuse to give a gift…. my favorite thing!

Here’s what I did for my boxes!

Bridesmaid Proposal Box

Step 1: The Box

Finding the perfect box was probably the biggest challenge. I wanted something cute, reusable, and not generic. I searched all over Etsy and Amazon, but the boxes to buy were all pricey and the quality was questionable. I really didn’t want to buy a box that “folded” and wasn’t sturdy, since I wanted this box to last for years to come. I went to Hobby Lobby and all the boxes were either too big, too small, or had weird prints….

Finally, after much searching, I found these adorable boxes at Michael’s! Not only are the gorgeous, but they are also sturdy, the perfect size, and definitely reusable. Plus, the colors match my wedding so it couldn’t have been a more perfect fit.

These boxes are great because they close magnetically, so you don’t have to worry about things falling out of them. They are very durable and a good quality piece, for under $15! Worth every penny. These would be perfect to store photos, letters, or any other keepsakes.

Step 2: Confetti Base

To add volume, I added some fun pink and white sparkle confetti paper. I love using this in gifts to add some fun, cushion, and it really makes for a pretty presentation.

Step 3: Little Goodies

When it comes to Proposal Boxes, I think it is super fun to add a couple different mini things to add to the fun. Instead of buying your bridesmaid just one, expensive item, buy a few little girly things to truly add to the gift. Save the single, expensive item for the Day of the Wedding!

I wanted to choose gifts that I knew my girls would use in their everyday life so that it isn’t going waste. I didn’t want anything that said “bridesmaid” on it, because then they will only wear that ONE time and never again. I’m all about being practical. NOTHING wrong with doing that, just for my bridesmaids, I knew they would like something a little more versatile.

I got them all mini hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works called “Champagne”, which I thought was super appropriate. I also got them coconut hand lotion that perfectly fit my rose gold theme. Lastly, I added a cute pink keychain (I got myself one too) and a relaxing gold face mask from Victoria’s Secret. All easy and simple things that every girl loves!

Step 4: T-shirts

Okay…yes, I am a little bit extra, but who cares?! I have been eyeing these fun t-shirts on Etsy for a while now and just new I had to get them for my crew. I love the mauve pink color with the bright white lettering. The font is GORGEOUS too. These shirts are extremely soft and oversized. I thought these would be perfect for the Bachelorette Party and make for the softest sleep shirt! I got one for me too, that is WHITE and says Bride in rose gold!

Get your own Bridesmaid shirts here. They come in so many different colors too (under $13!!!!).

Step 5: Proposal Card

Okay, so I am obsessed with fashion cartoon art. I know that sounds weird, but a fashion sketch has my heart! I knew I wanted to have something fun, creative, and a good keepsake for my bridesmaids to have, and when I found this Etsy store I fell in love.

I was able to customize these cards to match each girl’s hair!! SO cool and so personal. They all ask “will you be my bridesmaid” and also have the date of the wedding so the girls can mark that in their calendar. I wrote something a little special for my Maid of Honor as well. Then, I framed them with these extremely affordable frames from Hobby Lobby (came in a 5 pack!) and wrote each of them a special card for the box’s final touches!

My Crew

Best friend from college! We were both Secondary Social Studies Education majors and the rest is history 😉

Andrew’s sister…aka my soon to be sister!

My bestie from my Baylor Pom Squad Days and Delta Delta Delta! Fun Fact: Our dad’s knew each other before we did! HAHAH.

Maid of Honor: My best friend aka twin <3 Literally can’t imagine life without her and the thought of leaving her makes me want to curl up in a ball in my closet and play sad Disney songs hahah. “Forever my best friend”.

There are so many fun and creative ways to ask your Bridal Party! This was so much fun putting everything together. What do you want to see next?!
