Question 1: If you had a free trip anywhere in the world or two, where would it be?

This question is SO hard because there are so many places I have dreamed of visiting. Before blogging, my mind was very closed and sheltered. I was like…why is everyone so in love with traveling? Since blogging, I have been able to see some beautiful places (on instagram) that I would love to visit myself. With that being said, the number one place that is A DREAM that may never actually happen would be to go to Paris. So cliche, but it is a dream destination for sure. I’ve never been out of the country, so that is a stretch for sure!

Question 2: What is your favorite makeup brand?

This changes often, but consistently I love Anastasia! My favorite eye shadow palette is Anastasia, I love their brow products, and recently I have fallen in love with the stick foundation and amazing bronzer. They have pretty good prices too for a designer brand. LOVE Anastasia.

 

Question 3: Do you work?

Ohhhh yes! I work many random side jobs. Currently, I work at a boutique in McKinney, TX (Landry Kate) where I run their social media and help manage the store. I also work at a dance studio with high school & college aged students. I choreograph for DFW high schools too! (See Choreography page here!)

Question 4: Best hair/skincare tips?

I get asked this question SO much! I am obsessed with all things beauty related, so I love this topic.

Hair: When it comes to good hair, less is more! Washing it less, drying it less, styling it less! I do use some leave in conditioners and such, but I really try to make every style last at least 3-4 days. I use a leave in conditioner mask to sleep in usually once a week, always use a heat protectant before styling, use a WET BRUSH when brushing hair (even if dry), and I always sleep with my hair in a braid.

Skincare: Recently, I have really been trying to up my skincare routine and it has been showing! I take off my makeup with purity by philosophy. I have been using this stuff for YEARS and can’t imagine using something else. It is so gentle, smells good, and really works even on waterproof mascara. I have also been loving using a gentle exfoliator like origins every other night. It smells like oranges and makes my skin feel sooooo soft and smooth. A new thing I have been LOVING is this toner that I will link below. It has made my forehead wrinkles almost disappear and I have only been using it for about a week now. It makes your pores smaller and my skin feels so healthy after. A lot of my friends opt for botox, but with this toner you really don’t need it! After that, I use the matching nighttime moisturizer (also smells like oranges) that leaves my skin feeling so fresh and clean. To set it all, I spray my face with a facial spray mist!

In the morning, I don’t typically wash my face again. I think there is such a thing as over washing..hah! What I do before I workout is I will spray my face a ton with that facial spray mist and go workout. This just wakes up my skin and brings back some life.

Question 5: How often do you apply sunless tanner?

This truly depends on the week! In the summer, I don’t apply it as often as I do in the cooler months because I am in the sun more and get more of a natural glow. With that being said, I really don’t like to bake in the sun. I love skincare and want to take the best care of my skin while I can!

Summer: typically I’ll apply it 2 times a month. If I have an event or photoshoot, I ‘ll do it before that!

Winter: usually once a week! This brand that I have been LOVING lasts a long time and looks very natural.

Question 6: Married??

Haha I love this question. I’m honestly surprised at how often I get asked about my relationship status. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 1/2 years (4 years in November), but we aren’t getting married soon! We are both undergoing some career changes and just enjoying our time together. Trying not to plan out our lives to a perfect “t” and just let life happen and let God work in His perfect timing!

 

Question 7: Favorite Place to Eat in Dallas?

Even thought I live in the DFW area, I am SUCH a creature of habit and tend to eat at the same places. Two of my favorite places to eat are True Food Kitchen (healthy and SO fun) and HG Supply Co (also healthy and an adorable atmosphere…but terrible parking lol). If you haven’t been to those restaurants before, grab a friend (or me!) and GO! SOOO good and you don’t feel guilty after.

Question 8: Go to meal?

I have two:

1: Grilled chicken and guacamole. SO good. Maybe throw in a Margarita? LOL!

2: Egg white omelet with spinach, turkey, and tomatoes. Soooooo good omg. And coffee of course. Maybe some Ezekiel bread with peanut butter? YUM.

 

Question 9: How Tall are you?

I am 5’4″! Technically considered Petite but I sure do feel tall!

Question 10: Celebrity Crush?

Julianne Hough, Lauren Conrad, Sarah Jessica Parker.

OF course I have numerous others that I love, but these 3 will always be my faves. (I love Blake Lively too).

Question 11: Favorite Pair of Sunnies?

Finding the perfect pair of sunglasses can be SO hard!! I love my sunnies from MVMT (soo  cute). My favorite budget pair are these ones right here.

Question 12: Favorite Disney Movie?

Hardest question EVER. Classic: Cinderella & Sleeping Beauty… and Beauty and the Beast. Inspirational: Princess & the Frog

Question 13: How do you put together outfits?

I love getting inspired from Pinterest, instagram, and even my closet. I always start with a theme in mind (edgy, comfy, elegant, high fashion, affordable, etc) and go from there. I love starting with a statement piece that I work my outfit around. Whether that be my bag, belt, sunglasses, necklace, top, WHATEVER, I like to accent certain items.

Question 14: What’s your fitness routine?

I LOVE mixing it up. I am a firm believer of listening to your body and always evolving. Currently, I have been loving reformer pilates, weight lifting, body weights, and cardio! I will typically do Pilates 1-2 times a week, cardio 2-3 times a week, weight lifting 2-3 times a week, and full body HIIT workouts 1-2 times a week. I am always down to try out new workout classes, so if you are too let me know!

Question 15: Tips on growing your blog and instagram platform?

I laugh whenever I get this question because I feel like I am NO expert in this at all! I am asking y’all the same question! When it comes to growth as a fashion blogger, there is no rhyme or reason. While growth can be hard, building an authentic following can be way more rewarding. Here’s what I know:

Step 1: Post QUALITY over quantity

Step 2: Build relationships with other bloggers. I only have a handful of bloggers that I actually consider friends. Again, QUALITY. While I love connecting with a ton of bloggers and getting inspired from so many amazing women, I keep my close circle small.

Step 3: Get to know your followers: Have polls, questions, always reply to comments and DMs, and interact on your blogging platform too!

Step 4: Post organic content. Enough of this sponsored content that you don’t actually care about. Followers will recognize that and then not trust your opinion. EVERYTHING I post on my instagram and blog and 100% back up.
