I can’t believe it is already time for Back to School Shopping!!! I remember those days of such anticipation and excitement. Yes, I was (and still am) that kiddo who loooooved the first da of school. Actually, school in general is my jam. I love learning, socializing, and of course, organizing. Can anyone relate??
While you’re starting to think about back to school/work shopping, I wanted to make life a little bit easier and round up my essentials for classroom outfits. These pieces will look great now (hello, Texas heat!) and also all throughout the school year. Classrooms can be cold even when it is 100 + degrees outside, so having good layering pieces is a key factor!
Avoid the crowds and out of stock items by shopping online! That’s what I always do!
What to Look for in a Classroom Outfit?
When it comes to classroom outfits, you always want to keep your students in mind. By that I mean, dress professionally. As a teacher, you are always in “the light”. Students see you every single day. For a lot of students, their teachers might be the only role model they have in their lives. For a lot of students, teachers might be the only role model outside of their parents in their lives! That is HUGE. If you show respect to yourself by dressing nicely, you are then portraying to your students to respect themselves. I know something as small as fashion might seem silly to some people, but I really do believe that how you dress directly showcases how you feel about yourself on the INSIDE. It’s not about dressing to impress others, it is about dressing to impress YOU. Your students will see that self-respect and subsequently, respect you too.
