Book Review (Round 1)

My first Book Review is now up!! I am so pleasantly shocked at how much I enjoyed this book. Creepy, romantic, mysterious….y’all!! SO GOOD.

Okay..I have been just loving reading lately. I always go through little phases of reading a ton to reading nothing at all, but I’m a much happier person when I pick up a book every now and then.

I’m a sucker for Young Adult fantasy and mystery. Being transported to another world is my favorite thing. When it comes to finding a good new book, I always look for books that have some kind of romance, mystery, and suspense. Additionally, books that are too wordy are just an instant NO. When authors are trying too hard to be descriptive..it just takes all imagination OUT of the reader’s hands.

Shop my Look:

To kick off my first book review on my blog, I decided to review my most recent read that I just can’t stop thinking about. This book debuted this August and my sister just randomly picked it up on Amazon (really good deal). She let me read it and I was instantly swept away.

House of Salt and Sorrows is so captivating, mysterious, and just a little bit scary. Not going to lie, there were a few times I would be reading this late at night and be just a little scared to get out of bed..haha! The author is really good at plot development and she keeps you guessing until the very last page!! There were so many times in the book where I thought I knew the ending, only to be completely surprised at the end and even wanting an epilogue to go into more detail. I’m like, where is book number 2?! I want more!

I can’t recommend this book enough. 10/10 for me…and I’m really picky. There is this book series/author that I LOVE and I haven’t found anything that compares to them, until now!

If you are in the market for a new book, grab this one! I LOVED it and can’t wait to read it again.

If you’ve read this book, what are your thoughts on it? Leave a comment below so I can see!!
