Bookworm || My Favorite Books

With the start of the New Year, I am telling myself that I will intentionally read more books this year! Even if that needs to be an audio book! Recently, my mind has been fully consumed with WEDDING everything…so I’m trying to put down the Wedding magazines and pick up some novels. I’ve been perusing the shelves of Barnes & Noble and I just don’t know what book to read next. There are so many out there and it can be a bit daunting.

I have a feeling a lot of us like reading! There are so many different genres out there and interests. I love the classic self-help books, but I am also a huge sucker for Young Adult Fantasy…haha! NO SHAME in my game. In my opinion, whatever makes you want to read is a good book!

I’ve compiled a list of my favorite books. Leave a comment with your fave so I can add that to the list!

My Favorite Books to Read

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

The movie was terrible, but the books are captivating. The author is not too wordy (pet peeve), the plot is a bit of romance, kick booty, secrets, mysteries, just seriously a classic for my bookshelf. I’ve read this entire series MULTIPLE times.

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead

Can you tell that I just LOVE this author? I’m a sucker for adventure, humor, sarcasm, and love. This series is a spin off of the New World and finding love…y’all is so good.

The Mingling of Souls by Matt Chandler

While he is the pastor at the church I go to, I am NOT biased…haha! This book is a great book about Christian dating, marriage, and everything in between. I’ve read it multiple times and in each season of life that I read it, I learn more and more. It’s the book that keeps on giving. It is very biblical and a great text to read.

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

If you haven’t read this book yet, you are really missing out! It is a classic for me! The plot is amazing and the story is really captivating. It makes you think and you definitely learn something about love and Jesus after you read it. It’s a great book for those that want a good plot with a great, uplifting message.

House of Night Series by P.C. Cast

I read this book a long time ago and it is still one of my favorite series out there! Romance,  Vampires, and all that good stuff that we just can’t get enough of! Well written, not too wordy, and keeps you interested.

What books do you like? There are so many out there that I haven’t read!
